Ferdinand Omanyala won big time in 9.84 at Kip Keino last Saturday; the week before, Omanyala had won in Botswana. The Kenyan sprint star is now racing in Florence, adding even more fireworks to an already hot, hot, hot 100 meters! 
Florence always has fantastic fields across the schedule, and this year is no different.  But the Men’s 100 meters is something quite special!

FLORENCE (ITA): A total of 15 Olympic champions are confirmed for the Florence Diamond League on 2 June, including Marcell Jacobs (100m), Katie Moon (pole vault), Faith Kipyegon (1500m), Joshua Cheptegei (5000m), Valarie Allman (discus) and Malaika Mihambo (long jump). World leader Ferdinand Omanyala and European indoor 60m champion Samuele Ceccarelli have also been added to the 100m line-up, which also features the previously announced Fred Kerley. In the 200 m Erriyon Knighton, hurdles having Grant Holloway shot put Joe Kovacs. A top name in women’s 100 m is Aleia Hobbs, in the 400 m hurdles Femke Bol and in steeple Winfred Yavis vs. Beatrice Chepkoech.
