The tenth Night of 10,000m PBs lived up to its promotions. What a night of racing. Twelve exciting 10,000m races, plus 4 Junior 800 meter races. A night of many PBs, and a tremendous appreciation for the 25 lapper.

BATTERSEA PARK (GBR, May 20): The night of the 10 000 m PBs 2023 (WACT Silver) saw World U20 champion 2021 in the 5000 m Mizan Alem (21) from Ethiopia winning the women’s main race in 29:59.03 WL as 12th ever runner under 30 minutes. US Weini Kelati (formerly from Etitrea) improved to 31:04.16 and lifetime best also for third Italian Nadia Battocletti 31:06.42 (missed NR 31:05). In fourth best home runner Jessica Warner-Judd 31:09.28 with Ethiopian Hawi Feysa fifth 31:09.85 and PB for 6th German Miriam Dattke 31:10.21. Finland´s Camilla Richardson as 9th clocked the national record 31:12.78. The top 11 runners went under 32 minutes. Croatian record for Bojana Bjeljac 32:28.67 in 13th place. Men winner, Paul Chelimo of USA, achieved 27:12.77 PB (also 8th best US ever), but missed the Budapest standard 27:10. Second Kenyan Vincent Mutai 27:31.32 PB and third Tadesse Getahon NR for Israel 27:34.01. Fourth Egide Ntakarutimana from Burundi 27:37.10 ahead of Ren Tazawa of Japan 27:40.46 and Norwegian European medalist Zerei Kbrom Mezngi 27:41.53 PB. Top 12 achieved times below 28 minutes.
