Over 15,800 runners started the race, on a fine, cool, clear day at the end of October in Frankfurt, Germany. Mark Korir battled over the entire 42 kilometers, taking the last 4 kilometers to win the race.

Mwangi 59:07 and Gebrekiden 68:00 CR´s - COPENHAGEN (DEN, Sep 18):  James Mwangi Wangari led seven runners under the one hour-mark in the Copenhagen Half Marathon. The 22-year-old set a vicious pace and was under world record pace through 10km and 15km in world-leading marks of 27:15 and 41:32 but slowed in the last quarter which was largely run into a headwind.
