This is Sunday, March 12, 2023.

This is week Ten, Day 7, and it is a long run day.

Sundays were always long runs for me in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. My teammates and I would start on.

Summit Road in Santa Cruz Mountains. Our runs were on a 3-week schedule. One week was 17.5 miles, and one was 20 miles, and one was 22.5 miles. We would go down the old logging roads in the Santa Cruz mountains, surrounded by old-growth Redwoods, and listen to the birds in the cool, crisp morning air. As we returned, after we hit the midway, the conversations would slow down as we began the long hour run back up into the hills. A long run, and then, some coffee and the Sunday New York Times.

Your workout, warm up, 75-90 minutes, moderate run, depending on how you felt from racing on Saturday, then cooldown.
